Big Bugs make comeback, film at 11! Making a list and checking it twice... 1000pts of Godzilla Goodness It's hard to do Godzilla at 1000pts, at least if you want to include all the elements that I do. Because of that, I'm a little light on Monstrous Creatures. (Kind of funny for a Godzilla list, really.) Basically, I want to include some of the shootiness of my bigger list (hence the Devourerfexes.) I also want to include some antitank defense (hence the VC on the Tyrant and the 2 Blasts on the Zoanthropes.) In addition, the Warp Screams are vital to the list at larger point values, and they are _much_ less effective the fewer of them that you use (hence the three zoanthropes.) Finally, I needed to include a decent number of Genestealers, since the list relies on them at higher levels. With all that, I had to go light on a few elements to shoehorn it all in. Fortunately, I rely on cheap Monstrous Creatures instead of giving them lots of biomorphs like some lists do. 1500pts of Godzilla Goodness 1500 points is really where most Godzilla lists shine. It's enough points to almost max out on your Monstrous Creatures (up to 8 potential) but you don't have to add any extras that take away from the meat of the list. My list doesn't quite max here, but it's awfully strong for the point value. The Gunfex really improves the antitank capabilities of the list, which you need at 1500 points. The 2nd Tyrant provides significant fire to back up the Devourerfexes and provides the 5th Psychic Scream, making the Psychic Choir much more effective. The extra Genestealers also up the hitting power of the list, and putting them into 2 broods gives you more options when it comes time to hit the enemy, and it gives you an extra choice on the Force Organization chart, meaning that you get to see a little more of the enemy placement before finishing your deployment. 2000pts of Godzilla Goodness 2000pts is probably a little beyond the perfect size even for my Godzilla list, but it's still very effective. (Standard lists top out around 1500pts because they rely on how hard it is to kill Monstrous Creatures. It's very difficult to kill 8 Monstrous Creatures at 1500pts. It's not as difficult to kill 8 Monstrous Creatures at 2000pts.) My list is effective at higher values since I use Genestealers for my combat power. On the other hand, I've probably got more than enough Genestealers in this list to handle just about anybody that's already reeling from being hit by the Monstrous Creatures. I also brought out all 3 Raveners to play. They aren't incredibly effective by themselves in close combat, and they are absolutely _nothing_ compared to all those Genestealers, but their speed is a great asset, and having 3 separate 40-point units that can zip around and seize objectives or suddenly smack a small unit that thought it was out of reach is a really effective thing. Finally, by using every single slot on the Force organization chart, I can really get a good idea for where the opponent is going before I've deployed most of my army.
