Over the last several weeks I've gotten quite a bit done on my Tau army. At this point, I have built almost everything that I've purchased (everything except a few Shield drones and 3 sets of Sniper Drone teams.) I still need to paint a lot, but at least I've got nearly everything assembled.
Seven extra Broadsides! For the Broadsides, I had to chop and channel their weapons. I like the look of a single large gun for them, so I used the Hammerhead Railgun (since it is easily big enough to count as two of the smaller Broadside Railguns.) As it is so much longer than the model is tall, I did cut a chunk out of the middle of the barrel before gluing the halves together.
Then I magnetized them.
8 extra Crisis Suits, for a serious crisis! (note, there was some overlap with the broadside models ;) )
Then I went about magnetizing all the weaponry (the original models mostly still have theirs glued on for now, but that will change eventually.)
Here are my current forces in their entirety.
To finish off the entirety of my planned army types, I still need another 36 Firewarriors and 3 more Piranhas, plus make some rearrangements on my commanders, and finish the afore-mentioned Shield Drones and Sniper Drone Teams. Phew! If you enjoyed this, email me and let me know |
